Gordon T. Boyd, Chairman
Gordy spent eighteen years with Weyerhaeuser and was involved
with all aspects of their wood products business. As Vice President,
he handled mergers and acquisitions.
In 1987, Gordy left Weyerhaeuser and led a group purchasing
Marshall Electronics, a Chicago-based medical electronics
manufacturing and distribution company. Over the next eight years
the company grew from fifteen million to 100 million in sales and
was then sold to Omron Corporation of Kyoto, Japan.
In 1998, he became Chairman and CEO of newly formed wood
products company, Quality Veneer and Lumber (QVL), while still
retaining his position with Global Ventures. In 1999, he left QVL
and returned full time to Global Ventures.
